Al-Rantisi Specialized Children’s Hospital was bombed three consecutive times, only minutes apart between each strike.
Inside were 80 patients across different departments, including:
4 children in pediatric intensive care.
8 newborns in neonatal intensive care.
Al-Rantisi is not just a building; it is Gaza’s only specialized hospital, home to irreplaceable departments:
The oncology unit.
The dialysis unit.
Specialized departments for respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases.
But the bombing shattered safety, forcing 40 patients to flee under fire, while inside remained:
40 patients with their companions.
4 cases in intensive care.
8 fragile newborns in incubators.
30 doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.
It is a scene where patients’ breaths mingle with the roar of explosions, and mothers’ cries with the whistle of rockets… Al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital, once a house of healing, has today become a field of death.
Urgent Appeal: We call on the world and the United Nations to act immediately to provide protection for medical teams and patients inside hospitals, and to stop repeated assaults on health facilities.
